Christmas in Key West from With Strings Attached




The Holidays in Key West:   my 52nd Road Scholar program!   We began traveling with Elderhostel in 1996 when they changed the age requirement.  My parents traveled with EH, too, so I'm second-generation.   Click on the tab to see the entire list.

Key West Patchwork and Vacation from The Chester County Criswell Quilt

 

This week's 1934 block is Key West from Nancy Cabot.

 

Key West 

 

The diamonds of this interesting quilt block, combined with bright, vivid colors of yellow print, plain blue, and scarlet, create a design that is well nigh unbeatable.  It was named by an enterprising young southern woman after the seaport city on a western island of the Florida keys.
